This training provides a comprehensive guide to preparing trial notebooks, focusing on how to organize and present case materials for maximum efficiency in court.  Attendees will learn the key components of both physical and digital trial notebooks, including the benefits and challenges of each format.  The session will cover best practices for organizing exhibits, witness lists, and legal documents to ensure quick access and seamless courtroom use.  Whether you prefer traditional binders or digital solutions, this training will help you streamline trial preparation and stay organized throughout litigation.

Presenters:
Desiree Stormont, Attorney, Southern Minnesota Regional Legal Services (SMRLS). 
Desiree is a civil Family Law Attorney with SMRLS.  She has 10 years of experience litigating both criminal and civil cases. Prior to her current role, Desiree served as a criminal prosecutor, specializing in domestic violence and homicide cases.  She brings a wealth of courtroom experience and practical insights on how to best prepare for trial through the use of trial notebooks.

Karla Kluzak, Lead Attorney, SMRLS.  Karla spent fifteen years in private practice before joining SMRLS three years ago.  She is the lead family law attorney for their southwest region and works out of their Mankato office.  After graduating law school in 2006 she opened her own law office which she operated until she joined SMRLS.  Her legal experience includes the practice areas of family law, bankruptcy, and civil litigation.
